Our Mission

For us, choosing the name Bulle et Baluchon to describe a centre for the prevention of violence against children seemed truly appropriate.

The word Bulle or “bubble” in English, refers to the space around each of us that we all need to feel comfortable with ourselves and with others. Hence the expression “needing to respect one's bubble.”

As for the word Baluchon or “bindle” in English, we chose it to represent all the tools given to the children so that they can protect themselves against all forms of violence that they may face.

Bulle et Baluchon is the Reference and Training Centre for the Prevention of Violence against Children in the Eastern Townships. Bulle et Baluchon aims to raise awareness, to inform and to equip adults and children aged 4 to 12 mainly through educational workshops offered in English and in French.

We have been working in the Eastern Townships for over 30 years. As a result, more than 80,000 children have been given the necessary tools to help them be less vulnerable to all forms of violence. More than 16,000 adults have been informed and made aware of this problem.
